All Koshirae Are Designed To "Quiet Down" When In Interior Light.
All Tsuba Are From
Muromachi (1338-1573), Momoyama (1574-1600), and Edo (1603 - 1857) Eras.
All Tsuba Are Authentic Iron.
Whether Karakuri, Zougan, or Sukashi,
Each Show The Rich Patinas, From Dark Coffee to Dark Chocolate Brown,
of Deep Age.
Almost All Have Been Mounted In the Past,
Most, Several Times.
All Tsuba Are Coated Several Times In a Fine Layer Of Choji ( Clove ) Oil ,
Allowed To Sit for several days, With The Residue Carefully Massaged Into The Iron.
This Adds A Very Beautiful Depth And Sheen To The Patina.
Most of the Sword Furniture Used Comes From One Source.
They Offer Cast, Mixed-Metal (Primarily Copper/Brass Mix),
"Used, Gendai" ( Modern 1857- 1946), Authentic Japanese Sword Fittings.
The Molds That The Pieces Are Currently Made From
Are Between 165 and 65 Years In Age.
As Can Be Seen, The Pieces Are Extremely Subtle and Remarkably Elegant.
